Tourists cancel plans for a vacation in the Crimea and go to the Krasnodar Territory
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Thousands of tourists who had been planning a holiday in Crimea since July 17 have canceled their previously made hotel and apartment reservations. Accommodation booking service TWILL returned the money to these tourists for canceling their reservations in the Crimea, so that they could book rooms and immediately check into hotels in the Krasnodar Territory, Alexei Cherepakhin, general director of the TVIL accommodation booking service, said:
The Krasnodar Territory remains a massive holiday destination for Russians in 2023.
It is worth noting that from July 1 to July 12, there was an increased interest in hotels in Crimea — bookings at that time increased by 49% compared to June 2023. But since July 17, accommodation bookings in Crimea have fallen by 53% compared to the previous week. The owners of the Crimean hotels solved the problems with check-in on the spot and according to the situation, so the percentage of canceled applications from Monday was only 2%.
According to Alexei Cherepakhin, those tourists who canceled their bookings in Crimea on July 17 received a full refund and booked accommodation in the Krasnodar Territory with arrival on the same day.
Recall that the tourist season on the Black Sea and Azov coasts is in full swing and has not been completed due to the events that have happened.
