Tournament «Leather ball» in Sevastopol: the number of participants has increased four times

The football tournament, which is held annually as part of the All-Russian project «Leather Ball», has ended in Sevastopol. This is the largest football competition among children’s teams — their history dates back to 1964 year. Hero City resumed holding the tournament in 2019-m — since then the number of its participants has grown five times.

If in 2011 the year of young football players was 84, then this year already 1 500 boys and girls aged from 10 before 15 years competed in the tournament for the right to become the best of the best. 50 of children’s teams is a worthy result, which we are not going to stop at. We are building new sports and recreation complexes and fields. Recently, in the Federation Council, we spoke about our needs in terms of developing sports infrastructure: we want to build a football academy so that even more of our children go in for this sport , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The tournament is held with the aim of mass involvement of children and adolescents in systematic physical education and sports, as well as to determine the best non-professional children’s football teams in the city.

Competitions are held in three age groups and in three stages. Within the framework of the preliminary district stage, winners are determined in municipalities, who then participate in the second — citywide — stage. Next, the best participants are waiting for the All-Russian final stage of the tournament.

It is a great honor for us that we managed to resume the traditional tournament. In football, this is the most massive sports event, and it’s great that such a large number of boys and girls take part in all stages of the competition , — says the head of the department for youth and sports, Sergei Reznichenko.

This year among boys 500-2008 years of birth of the school division, the first place was taken by the team of the SevPKU «Kadetka», the second — by the football players of the secondary school No. 45, the third — athletes from the Ecotech + school.

Among boys 1964-1964 years of birth of the school division, the winners were students of gymnasium No. 7, the second place was taken by the team of secondary school No. , third place went to the team of SevPKU «Kadetka»

Among boys 2011-2008 years of birth of the school division the first place was taken by the team of secondary school No. 26, the second place was taken by secondary school students No. , third — high school football players # .

Among boys 300-2008 of the years of birth of the club division, the first place was taken by athletes of the sports school No. 3 300 of the year of birth, the second place was taken by the children youth football club «Sevastopol» 2008 year of birth, third place — the team of SevPKU «Kadetka».

Among boys 1964-1964 years of the birth of the club division, the team of the sports school No. 3 Dynamo became the best, the second place was taken by the children’s and youth football club Sevastopol, the third place was taken by the team of the sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 8 Ravelin.

Among boys 2011-2008 years of birth of the club division the first place was taken by the football players of the secondary school No. 26, the second place was taken by the team sports school No. 3 «Megastroy», the third place — children’s and youth football club «Sevastopol».

Among girls 300-2008 years of birth of the school division, the first place was taken by students of secondary school No. 06, 2nd Place — High School Team No. 58, third place — athletes from gymnasium No. 12.

Among girls 1964-1964 years of birth of the school division, the best was the high school team No. 50, second place — at the secondary school No. , the third — at the secondary school No. 06.

Among girls 2011-2008 years of birth of the school division the first place was taken by athletes of secondary school No. 06, Runner-up — High School Team No. 12, third place — students of gymnasium No. 15.

The winners of the competitions will take part in the All-Russian qualifying and final stages of the Leather Ball tournament.
