Traffic police officers provide assistance to motorists throughout the alternative land route to Crimea and back

The personnel of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions is focused on providing assistance to road users traveling to the Republic of Crimea and in the opposite direction. In order to take measures to respond to a possible complication of the traffic situation, additional traffic police orders were put up, including for additionally informing drivers about the closure of the movement of vehicles at the transport crossing and at the sea crossing.

Traffic police units everywhere carry out explanatory work with drivers, reporting that due to the closure of traffic on the Crimean bridge, movement is available along an alternative road route in new regions. Drivers of passenger cars are advised to follow the P-280 Novorossiya highway, passing along the route Taganrog (Rostov Region) — Mariupol — Melitopol — Dzhankoy (Republic of Crimea).

Employees of the State traffic inspectorate explain to road users that the total length of the route from the checkpoint of the Rostov region to the checkpoint Dzhankoy is about 400 km, the entire route can be traveled in 5-6 hours. To travel on an alternative route, you must have passports for adults, birth certificates for children and documents for a car with you.

Information about the closure of traffic on the Crimean bridge and the need to choose alternative routes is posted on electronic scoreboards installed along the road network. Also, traffic inspectors carry out explanatory work with drivers using special loud-speaking devices.

In the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea, accumulative parking lots for cars have been organized, which are provided with everything necessary: ​​bottled water is supplied, and if necessary, hot meals.
