CrimeaPRESS reports:
Two adults and two children died.
A criminal case has been opened in Crimea regarding the death of a family, including two children, as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
On behalf of the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, a criminal case was opened into the death of a family of four in the Simferopol region, including two minors (Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)— reported in Sledkom.
Early this morning, in a private household in the village of Ukromnoye, the bodies of four people were discovered — a married couple and two children (a boy aged 8 years and a girl aged 12) with external signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. The dead were discovered by the head of the family’s employer, who arrived because the man did not show up for work. The couple’s three other children, ages 20, 19 and 16, were hospitalized at a medical facility where they are receiving care.
A specially created group consisting of the leadership of the criminalistics department, the Simferopol investigative department, the most experienced investigators and forensic investigators immediately left for the scene.
Currently, with the involvement of Krymgazseti specialists, an inspection of the household, heating appliances, gas boiler, and ventilation system is being carried out.
Head of the Main Investigation Department V.N. Terentyev was instructed to carefully establish all the circumstances of the tragedy and assess the actions of the control services responsible for checking the functioning of heating equipment— reported in Sledkom.
The progress of the criminal investigation has been placed under personal control by the head of the Main Investigation Department.
