CrimeaPRESS reports:
On behalf of the prosecutor of the city of Sevastopol Andrei Shevtsov, the prosecutor’s office took control of the progress of the investigation into a traffic accident on March 20, 2024 in the Leninsky district of the city of Sevastopol — here also on the topic.
The accident occurred at an unregulated pedestrian crossing in the area of building 13 on Gen. Ave. Ostryakov around 8 o’clock in the morning. The driver of a trolleybus traveling along route 12 from the public transport stop “Moscow Cinema” towards the stop “Oleg Koshevoy Street” hit a native of Armyansk, Republic of Crimea, born in 1996, who was crossing the roadway,” noted the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
The pedestrian died from his injuries before emergency services arrived. An employee of the Leninsky District Prosecutor’s Office went to the scene of the incident. The prosecutor’s office controls the establishment of the causes and circumstances of the accident. Compliance with the requirements of road safety legislation, including in the activities of the carrier, is checked.
The prosecutor’s office will evaluate the procedural decision taken by law enforcement agencies on this fact.
