Trained… In Sevastopol, a store intern embezzled sales proceeds
CrimeaPRESS reports:
During an internship at one of the city’s construction stores, a 27-year-old resident of Sevastopol illegally appropriated more than 10 thousand rubles.
The assistant to the head of the company contacted the Gagarinsky District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with a statement that his new employee had illegally appropriated sales proceeds. It was established that the suspect was training as a driver-courier, and therefore had access to funds that he received as payment for purchased and delivered goods from a construction store. Having left for one of the addresses, he delivered the goods to the customer, but decided not to return to work and to spend the money he received at his own discretion— the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol reported.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, criminal investigation officers detained the perpetrator.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Part 1 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, “Misappropriation or embezzlement,” and he faces up to two years in prison.
