Training sessions with MANPADS crews were conducted at the Black Sea Fleet training grounds

At the combat training grounds of the Black Sea Fleet, training sessions were held with the crews of man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS).
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, the events are taking place as part of increasing the level of training of naval personnel and military units of the fleet in the use of MANPADS.
During live firing, the crews of the complexes successfully hit targets that, in their geometric, ballistic and radar characteristics, imitated various types of air targets. Special targets allowed military personnel to practice a wide range of training exercises in detecting, recognizing, tracking and destroying air attack weaponsthe message says.
In addition, anti-aircraft gunners in the Black Sea Fleet improved their skills in combating unmanned aerial vehicles.
