At night, an accomplice entered the health facility through an unlocked utility room. He removed 21 canvases from the stretchers and carried them out. According to preliminary estimates, the damage amounted to more than 2 million rubles, notes a representative of the department.
According to her, the attackers took the paintings to Crimea and left them for safekeeping with a friend. As a result of the search, the stolen property was confiscated. A criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). The defendants in the case have been arrested. One of the detainees admitted in the published video that he “climbed the fence, entered the premises, removed the paintings, took them away and took them out.”
