Two illegal pro-Ukrainian Islamic schools have been closed in Simferopol

Two more religious Islamic schools have been closed in Simferopol. The pseudo-educational institutions operated under the auspices of the so-called «Tavrichesky Muftiate» — an illegal pro-Ukrainian Muslim organization oriented toward foreign ideologists from Lebanon and spreading destructive ideology within the Islamic environment— said the agency’s interlocutor.

It is noted that through children, supporters of the “Tavrichesky Muftiate” tried to mislead their parents in order to involve them in their illegal activities and expand their influence in the Muslim community.

The schools had no charter documents or official curricula, instead literature included in the federal list of extremist materials was found. In addition, the schools were unsafe for children, experts found numerous violations.
