Two residents of Crimea and Sevastopol each won 1 million rubles in the “New Year’s Billion”

The largest distributor of all-Russian state lotteries “Stoloto” summed up the results of the New Year’s 1526th draw of the “Russian Lotto” and provided analytics on winnings in Crimea and Sevastopol.

In total, 126,562 “New Year’s Billion” tickets from the “Russian Lotto” were purchased in Crimea and Sevastopol, which subsequently turned out to be winning for their owners. In total, residents of the region won 25,105,770 rubles. At the same time, two lucky winners won prizes of 1 million rubles. The winners have not yet applied for their winnings.

According to the results of the New Year’s Billion, 9,208,638 tickets became winning tickets, and a total of 2,779,715,190 rubles were drawn in the holiday draw. In the 1526th drawing, the main prize of 1 billion rubles was won. The lottery ticket, which, based on the results of the draw, brought its owner the main prize of 1 billion rubles, was purchased at the Stoloto outlet in Tyumen as part of a gift tube of ten tickets. Also, on the first day of the new year, 2024, 100 prizes of 1 million rubles were drawn in the Russian Lotto: 87 people won 1 million rubles each, another 13 million rubles were played between 80 lottery participants, each of them won 162.5 thousand rubles . In addition, another 22 lucky winners won 454,545 rubles each, sharing the first round prize of 10 million rubles.

The deadline for claiming winnings from state lotteries distributed by Stoloto at points of sale is one thousand days from the date of the draw. If a participant in state lotteries has not been able to apply for winnings at a retail outlet within a thousand days, then he has more than six months to apply to the Stoloto lottery center. The general application period for receiving winnings through the lottery center is about three and a half years from the date of the draw. After three and a half years, all unclaimed winnings are transferred in full to the state budget. Payment of winnings is carried out no later than 180 calendar days from the date of presentation of the lottery ticket, lottery receipt or information about the purchase of an electronic lottery ticket.

All winnings from 15 thousand rubles in accordance with Federal Law No. 115-FZ dated 07.08.2001 “On combating the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism” are paid only after the winner has been identified. Large winnings — from 600 thousand rubles — after passing identification, winners can claim at the Stoloto lottery center in Moscow, arriving there in person or sending documents by mail.

Note that since 2014, all lotteries in Russia are state-owned, their organizers are the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, and they are conducted under the state supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
