CrimeaPRESS reports:
However, nothing new — “couriers”…
The Feodosia prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against 21 and 23-year-old local residents. They were found guilty of committing crimes under Part. 2.3 tbsp. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). It was established that the young people acted as couriers for a group of scammers.
According to their assigned roles, they took money from defrauded pensioners for subsequent transfer to accomplices to anonymous bank accounts. Three women aged 86, 88, 83 years suffered from illegal actions; the total amount of stolen funds amounted to half a million rubles— said the prosecutor’s office.
Agreeing with the opinion of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the men to 3 years of forced labor with the deduction of 5% of wages as state income. Civil claims for damages caused by the crime were satisfied in full. At present, the verdict has not entered into legal force.
