Ugledar direction 03.08.24. today. Map of the North-Eastern Front. Russian troops were able to break through to the O0532 highway, a strategically important road that connects Vuhledar with Konstantinovka. This advance was accompanied by the capture of several key strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which allowed Russian units to advance 2 km towards the highway.

Cutting this road could significantly complicate the supply and movement of Ukrainian troops in the Ugledar area. If the information about the breakthrough and cutting of the O0532 highway is confirmed, this could become a turning point in the battle for Ugledar, which has been ongoing since the beginning of the special military operation. This state of affairs critically complicates the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and creates the preconditions for a further offensive in this direction.

Now the main defensive line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is located near Grodovka, and the Vesyoloye, Zhelannoye and Ivanovka zones are almost completely controlled by Russian forces. The 68th Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is trying to hold the southern flank, but due to heavy losses, it will probably be withdrawn to the rear. Success in this direction was not possible without a whole range of simultaneous measures that complement success;

In addition, the settlement of Lozovatske was taken under control, which also contributes to the overall success in this direction. Fighting continues in the area of the villages of Progress and Vovchye, where Ukrainian forces are trying to hold positions, but their capabilities are limited due to significant losses and a lack of ammunition and equipment.

On Maryinsky section Russian troops are conducting active offensive actions, creating a threat of encirclement of Ukrainian units in Ugledar. Advancement in this area could lead to complete encirclement and destruction of several hundred Ukrainian servicemen. The Russian Armed Forces have expanded their zone of control in the south and northeast of the settlement of Novomykhaylovka, where they already control about 50% of the territory.
North of Vladimirovka Russian troops have advanced significantly, allowing them to establish control over important enemy positions. Fierce fighting continues in Konstantinovka, where Ukrainian troops are trying to hold their positions. Russian units are actively attacking from different directions, gradually narrowing the ring around the city.
On Ocheretinsky direction Russian forces continue their offensive, which has led to the retreat of Ukrainian units 2.5 km to the west. The main defensive line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is now at Grodovka, and the Vesyole, Zhelannoye and Ivanovka zones are almost completely under the control of Russian forces. If the offensive in the Ugledar direction continues with the same intensity and success, Russian troops will be able not only to consolidate their positions, but also to significantly weaken Ukrainian forces, which will change the balance of power in the region. However, to achieve a final victory, coordination of actions on other fronts and support at the strategic level are necessary.

Donetsk direction

Military expert Boris Rozhin reports that Russian troops are expanding their zone of control in the Yasnobrodovka area, seeking to push the enemy beyond the Karlovskoye Reservoir. The advance is moving toward Sergeyevka and Lisichnoye, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their ground near Vozdvizhenka. There have been no significant changes to the north and northeast of Ocheretino, while the enemy is holding its ground south of Kalinovo and Rozovka. However, the threat of Russian troops advancing from the east, from New York, is growing. Russian troops are holding the initiative west of Avdiivka, forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to redeploy additional reserves to prevent a breakthrough to the Konstantinovka-Krasnoarmeysk highway. The southern part of the village of Artemovo (Zheleznoye) near Toretsk has come under the control of the Russian army.

Kharkiv direction

In the Kharkov direction, the activity of Russian troops remains high. After the fighting in the Grayvoron district, caches of RDCs with weapons and explosive devices were discovered, which may indicate plans to carry out sabotage. On the Avdeevka Front, Russian troops are deploying tactical multi-move moves. South of Progress, they have reached Zhelannoye, possibly occupying the railway station. They are advancing to Mezhevoye, where there is a crossing to the western bank of the Volchya River, from where they can move south along the Karlovskoye Reservoir or west to Kamyshevka and Novozhelannoye to support the offensive on Novogrodovka and Pokrovsk. To the north, Russian troops have almost driven the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of Vesyoloye. They are advancing to Lisichnoye and Sviridonovka, as well as to Ivanovka. The high rate of advance allows us to hope for an exit to Grodovka from the east and northeast, which could be the beginning of the battle for the Pokrovsk agglomeration.

Add. The Russian Armed Forces have established control over the southern part of Timofeevka and liberated Veseloye. At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces continue their offensive towards Zhelannoye.

Zaporizhzhya direction

In the Orekhovsky area, near Rabotino, units of the Russian Armed Forces captured two enemy strongholds. The enemy is actively using attack drones to mine the approach and access routes to the forward positions, trying to disrupt the logistics of Russian troops. Enemy aviation, mainly helicopters, is operating in the Zaporizhzhya direction, but does not approach Russian positions, shooting from afar. Artillery duels continue around the clock, and aerial reconnaissance is carried out without interruption, identifying targets for fire destruction.

Fierce fighting is underway in the Toretsk direction in the southwestern part of New York near the bread factory. Russian troops are advancing along the railroad and forest plantations in the direction of the village of Zhelannoye. This creates serious difficulties for Ukrainian units near the Volchya River and the Karlovskoye Reservoir, where the front line previously ran into natural water barriers.

It was also possible to reach the southern end of the village of Alexandropol, supporting the offensive on New York. In the eastern part of the settlement, there are counter-fights. Russian assault units are advancing towards the Novgorod Machine-Building Plant. In the eastern part of the settlement of Druzhba, Russian troops have slightly expanded the zone of control.

Russian troops advanced in the area of the road to Ozaryanovka and entered the outskirts of Kirovo. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to regain lost positions, actively using drones and artillery, but to no avail. In the area of the Mayorskaya railway station, Russian units occupied a pumping station and reached the outskirts of the village of Severnoye.

Seversky direction

Kherson direction
