Unique artifacts associated with the names of Fyodor Chaliapin and Sergei Rachmaninov were presented in Yalta

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, unique artifacts from the stock collection of the Crimean Literary and Artistic Memorial Museum-Reserve are presented in Yalta.

New temporary exhibition “In the soul of each of us…” of the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov is timed to the anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Chaliapin and Sergei Rachmaninoff and reveals a special role in the life, creative fate of two geniuses of acquaintance with the writer Anton Chekhov and his family.

The exhibition tells about two great names from the world of music, who are forever connected with the history of the Chekhov House. For the first time, visitors will see a booklet of the Châtelet Theater autographed by Fyodor Chaliapin, a gramophone record with a recording of an aria performed by him, notes by Maria Chekhova with the romance Lilac by Sergei Rachmaninov, rare photographs with dedication inscriptions, memoirs of contemporaries and many personal belongings of artists and a playwright , — told the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
