In Sevastopol, on the stage of Primorsky Boulevard, a party forum-concert “Unity of the People” was held, organized by supporters of “United Russia”.
The event was headed by the governor of Sevastopol, secretary of the regional branch of United Russia, Mikhail Razvozhaev. The guest of honor was the Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR, Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic Artem Zhoga. Activists and supporters of the party, social activists, representatives of the older generation and youth organizations gathered for the concert-meeting.
Today, March 12, concerts and rallies in support of Russia and its political course were held in many regions of the country. The central platform was Volgograd, where Party Chairman Dmitry Medvedev and Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak took part in the action.
In Sevastopol, at the meeting they recalled the events of the Russian Spring, talked about the development of the city, plans for the future and how important it is for Russia not to stray from the intended path. Mikhail Razvozhaev emphasized in his speech that the future of the country depends on our joint efforts.
For Sevastopol, these March days are sacred. You all remember what happened ten years ago on March 16, when the residents of Sevastopol came to the referendum in a single impulse to firmly declare: “We are for returning to Russia.” I thank all the residents of Sevastopol: our wonderful older generation, who shares with us wisdom, faith and enormous experience, our young guys who today are taking their first steps in politics and careers. They understand that the future depends on us today. You can’t be on the sidelines. Our Sevastopol is transforming, a lot has already been done, and together we will do even moreMikhail Razvozhaev addressed those present.
Artem Zhoga expressed gratitude to the people of Sevastopol for their love for the country, its values, perseverance and unanimity.
During the events that took place ten years ago, we worried and rooted for you with all our hearts. You were the first to return home. Thank you very much for your support of Donbass and its residents. The city of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea have become a second home for many of our fellow countrymensaid Artem Zhoga.
