Vadim Volchenko: “The level of holiday bookings in Crimea has increased in the spring-summer period”

At the moment, the average booking level for May for sanatoriums is 55%, hotels — more than 40%. The average level of bookings for the summer of sanatoriums is more than 60%, hotels — more than 45%. Some accommodation facilities with well-developed resort and tourism infrastructure are already up to 100% occupied for the May holidays. The Crimean tourism industry has cautious optimism about the upcoming season; today it is clearly better than last year. Since the beginning of the year, about 600 thousand tourists have already visited Crimea — this is 7% higher than the same period in 2023. Of these, 54% came to Crimea on vacation via the Crimean Bridge, 40% by rail and 6% by land corridor through new regions, — the minister’s press service quotes.
He also said that tourists on the peninsula are met in general by the republican program “Hospitable Crimea”, which is responsible for accompanying the guest from the moment of choosing a holiday using the Travel Crimea Tourist Portal to meeting in Crimea at the Tourist Information Centers on the Crimean Bridge and the Simferopol railway station .
In addition, according to the minister, tourists are greeted by the blooming Crimea itself and special offers, promotions and loyalty programs in hotels and sanatoriums, music programs in parks, museums and gardens. All offers for choosing a holiday, a map and a flowering calendar with precise geolocations are packaged into a single special project «Flourish in Crimea»with information support from leading federal media, three federal and nine regional radio stations, with outdoor advertising on 122 advertising surfaces in the capital of Russia, Moscow.
