Valentina Matvienko: “New Chersonesos” will certainly become a stronghold of Russian spirituality for posterity
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko visited the New Chersonesos museum and temple complex. The excursion to the speaker of the upper house of the country’s parliament was given by Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea and Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev. The park was created next to the Tauride Chersonese museum-reserve.
Valentina Matvienko highly appreciated the new tourist site of the hero city, built thanks to the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, with the participation of the governor and government of the region. The ideological inspirer of the construction of the complex was Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, and its implementation became possible with the support of the My History Foundation for extra-budgetary sources.
It is simply a feat that such a colossal, unique complex was created in the right place, at the right time, when we should know our origins, our history.,” noted Valentina Matvienko.
The Chairman of the Federation Council left an entry in the book of honored guests, where she emphasized that this complex should be seen by as many Russians as possible, especially young people.
Ancient Chersonesos has always been the starting point where the origins of our history and culture have been kept for centuries. “New Chersonesos,” I am sure, will certainly become a stronghold of Russian spirituality for descendants, a guarantee of the unshakable bright future of the Fatherland. Here you feel with all your soul the connection between generations and the unity of the country.wrote Valentina Matvienko.
The head of the Federation Council also visited the Sevastopol Children’s Art School, which has been teaching more than a thousand students since 2023.
