Operatives in the Saki district seized drugs from a local resident’s car.

Employees of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saki» when checking information about the involvement of a 50-year-old local resident in drug trafficking, inspected the suspect’s car. Seven bags of dried plant matter were found inside the car. The examination confirmed that the seizure was a narcotic drug – “marijuana”, with a total weight of 7 grams— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of plants containing narcotic drugs”). Before the trial, a previously unconvicted resident of the Saki district was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place. The maximum penalty under this article is up to 3 years in prison. “I went for a relaxing ride”…
