Vehicle fire on the Simferopol – Dzhankoy highway: a regular bus caught fire while on the move

Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations extinguished a bus fire on the Simferopol — Dzhankoy highway. The incident was reported to the emergency department today at 12:34.
A passenger bus caught fire near the village of Gvardeyskoye, Simferopol district. The flame spread to dry vegetation. Employees of the 1st fire and rescue squad quickly extinguished a bus fire on an area of 14 square meters. m. After 35 minutes on an area of 114 sq. m dry vegetation was completely eliminated. There are no dead or injured— reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
Experts are determining the cause of the fire.
The Crimean prosecutor’s office clarified that a regular bus traveling along the Krasnoye-Simferopol route burned down. At the time of the incident, there were 15 passengers on board the bus. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
Taking into account the circumstances of the incident, the prosecutor’s office will assess the performance of duties by the responsible persons of the enterprise, as well as control authorities to suppress offenses in the field of organizing road safety, compliance with safety requirements when organizing passenger transportationnoted the supervisory agency.
The results of verification activities are under the control of the leadership of the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
