Vice-President of the Notary Chamber of Sevastopol took part in a seminar on the use of information technology in notaries

On October 11-12, 2024, a seminar for notaries on the use of information technology in notarial activities was held in the city of Nalchik.
The seminar, which brought together about 200 delegates, was organized by the Federal Notary Chamber together with the Notary Chamber of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
The Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol was represented at this event by the vice-president of the Chamber, Maxim Yurchenko.
With the development of information technology, the issue of information protection when it is necessary to send data via telecommunication networks is becoming increasingly relevant. For a notary, information protection is of absolute importance, therefore seminars on the topic of information technology in notarial activities are of great importance for notaries in all regions.
Over the two days of work, the seminar participants discussed the following issues relevant to their professional activities:
- current issues of the work of the unified notary information system;
- machine-readable power of attorney;
- removed executive inscriptions. Problematic issues. Judicial practice;
- remote transactions. Problematic issues;
- notary’s working calendar. Experience;
- fulfillment by the notary of the obligation to verify the authenticity of the documents on state registration of acts of civil status provided by the applicant using SMEV with the operator of the FSIS Unified State Civil Registry Office due to the requirements established by Federal Law No. 251-FZ dated 08.08.2024;
- information security in a notary office;
- software and hardware for performing a notarial act outside the premises of a notary’s office;
- possibilities of using artificial intelligence in notaries;
- ecosystem of RF notary websites: services of a unified system of the FNP portal and websites of notary chambers for notaries, RF notary website. Mobile application;
- current status and development prospects of the UIS Client;
- EIS functionality for working with notarial archives.
