Victory Day is the main holiday for Crimeans

In a survey of the Search for highly paid work Superjob Representatives of the economically active population from Crimea took part.
Superjob found out what official holidays the inhabitants of Crimea perceive as personal. 79% of citizens are considered the main holiday for themselves on May 9 (moreover, respondents over 45 years old said about this). 73% — New Year, 47% — Defender of the Fatherland and International Women’s Day, 39% — Christmas, every third — May 1 and Russia Day, and 23% — the Day of National Unity.
Today, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Immortal Regiment and the St. George ribbon, according to the survey, enjoy unconditional support of the inhabitants of the Crimea: 91% and 90% approve of these initiatives. They find the greatest response among women and youth under 35 years old. As the respondents note: “This is our memory of a terrible war”; «Our holy duty is to keep the memory of those who defended the world.» Commenting on negative reviews about promotions, respondents in the vast majority of cases noted the inappropriate attitude to the symbols of the Victory: “The St. George ribbon is a sign of distinction and it must be earned, and not hang on the car antenna!”; “The St. George tape is a reward! What can be the decoration from it?! ”; “May 9 is the day of the memory of the war and the victory in which not today’s generation fought and won.”
