VII Kurultai of Muslims of Crimea completed its work

In Simferopol, in the building of the Crimean Tatar State Academic Music and Drama Theater, the VII Kurultai of Muslims of Crimea was held. It was attended by delegates from all regions of Crimea, elected and delegated by local Muslim religious communities, the Supreme Council (Shura) of Muslims of Crimea and Islamic educational institutions of the Republic, totaling 306 people.
Among the honored guests present at the Kurultai were the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, the Acting Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea Albert Kurshutov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Interethnic Relations of the Republic of Crimea Aider Tippa, the rector of the Fevzi Yakubov Kyiv Polytechnic University Chingiz Yakubov, members of the Council of Crimean Tatars under the Head of the Republic of Crimea, first deputy head of the administration of the Bakhchisaray district of the Republic of Crimea Enver Ablaev, head of the department for interethnic relations of the administration of the city of Simferopol of the Republic of Crimea Islyam Useinov, representatives of public organizations and associations.
The congress of religious ministers opened with the anthems of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Crimea and the Crimean Tatar people, as well as the reading of verses from the Holy Quran.
The Mufti of Crimea, Hadji Emirali Ablaev, delivered a report on the activities of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol over the past five years to the delegates and guests of the Kurultai. He told about the work carried out by the Muftiate during the reporting period, noting important and promising points.
Based on the results of the speech of the Mufti of Crimea, the delegates of the Kurultai assessed the work of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol as satisfactory.
The main issue of the VII Kurultai was the election of the Mufti of Crimea for a new five-year term and a new composition of the Kurultai Audit Commission. The delegates unanimously expressed confidence in the current Mufti Haji Emirali Ablaev and extended his powers for another five years — until 2028.
The Mufti of Crimea expressed gratitude to all delegates of the Kurultai for their support and trust. Haji Emirali Ablaev noted that all projects of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol will continue to be aimed at the benefit of the development of Muslims of Crimea and the entire Crimean Tatar people.

The delegates of the Kurultai also elected and approved the composition of the Audit Commission, which included five people.
Leman Abduramanov, the chief imam of the Black Sea region, was appointed Chairman of the Audit Commission. Members of the commission — Eskender Suleymanov — district imam of the Krasnoperekopsk region; Seitasan Asanov — chairman of the communities of the Saki district; Emirasan Umerov — head of the publishing department of the Central Educational Institution of the SAMK; Rustem Temirov is the chairman of the communities of the Nizhnegorsky district.
Information: Kurultai is held in accordance with the Charter once every five years and is a reporting and election event. Haji Emirali Ablaev was first elected to the post of Mufti of Crimea in 1999. At the Kurultays held in 2004, 2008, 2013, 2018, he was re-elected.
