The viral epidemic is not losing ground: the incidence of influenza and ARVI in Russia continues to gain momentum. Rospotrebnadzor’s weekly statistics on the number of cases have already exceeded one million. Flu and coronavirus pose a high risk. Director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Russian Ministry of Health Alexander Ginzburg recently recalled that with the growing number of mutated strains of COVID-19, the coronavirus pandemic continues. For example, in Japan, a new wave of Covid cases is entering its third month, and in South Africa, strains have appeared that contain up to a hundred new mutations compared to previously known versions, reports «TVNZ».
In Russia, where the coronavirus also continues to infect the population, the flu situation remains tense. In dozens of Russian regions, the epidemic threshold has been exceeded by 50-90%. Experts’ forecasts are disappointing: diseases will haunt us until spring.
To reduce the risk of severe viral diseases, it is important to strictly follow medical recommendations. One of them is to use broad-spectrum antiviral drugs, suitable for both prevention and treatment. Such as the drug Arbidol, synthesized in Russia (the active ingredient is umifenovir).
