On the eve of the Day of Memory and Sorrow, the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, presented diplomas and gifts to the winners of the republican children’s drawing competition “Palette of Memory”, dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.

According to the head of the Crimean parliament, we perceive the mournful date, June 22, not just as the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, which claimed the lives of 27 million of our citizens, but also the beginning of the fight against the enemy, which ended in a crushing victory.

It was our people who managed to do what no one else on the planet could do — crush the Nazi beast formed in the depths of European civilization,” Konstantinov emphasized.

In his opinion, holding children’s competitions dedicated to the tragic events that our people experienced during the Great Patriotic War is an important part of spiritual, moral and patriotic education.

Every child who depicts a war story in a drawing experiences certain important emotions, which will then turn into strong beliefs that form a full-fledged personality — a true patriot of his Motherland.the head of the Crimean parliament is convinced.

The competition was attended by 380 young artists aged 9 to 18 years from Crimea, the Republic of Belarus, new constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as from the cities of Sochi, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Penza, Kolomna, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad, Tula, Norilsk, Kazan, Tuapse, St. Petersburg, Stavropol, Kirov, Cherkessk.
