Vladimir Putin met with military commanders. The main thing that was said
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today the Kremlin hosted a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with war correspondents. The head of state answered questions from military correspondents and made a number of important statements. The most important thing that was said during this meeting is what follows.
The goals of the special operation have not changed.
Denazification of Ukraine. The President also recalled the role of the West in the creation of the “anti-Russia” project, and about the coup d’état in Kyiv, and about Bandera, “raised on a pedestal” of the “Square” ideology.
Demilitarization of Ukraine. And no encroachments in NATO.
Protection of the inhabitants of Donbass.
The counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is bogged down.
Since the beginning of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 30% of the delivered Western equipment has already been knocked out, it has not been successful. Losses «one to ten».
If we take irretrievable losses, it is clear that the defending side suffers fewer losses, but still this ratio of one to ten, as they say, is in our favor: we have ten times less than the losses of the armed forces of Ukraine.
As for armored vehicles, it is even more serious. During this time they lost over 160 tanks and over 360 armored vehicles of various types. This is just what we see. There are still losses that we do not see, which are inflicted by long-range precision weapons on clusters of personnel and equipment, so in fact these losses are more from Ukraine. According to my calculations, this is about 25, or maybe 30 percent of the volume of the equipment that was supplied from abroad. It seems to me that if they consider it objectively, they will agree with this. But, as far as I have seen from open Western sources, it seems to me that they say something like thisPutin said.
There will be no martial law in Russia.
Ukraine acts by terrorist methods. Russia will not be like the Kyiv regime.
We, unlike today’s Ukrainian authorities, cannot act by terrorist methods: we still have a state, a country, and there is a regime. They operate, in fact, as a regime based on terror: they have a very tough counterintelligence regime, martial law. I don’t think we need to do it now. We just need to improve and expand the work of law enforcement and special services. And in general, it seems to me that the tasks in this regard are also solvable.Putin said.
There is no need for a new wave of mobilization.
Russia does not currently have a need for additional mobilization.
The Ministry of Defense reports that there is, of course, no need for mobilization today, Putin said. — Some of our public figures say that we urgently need to raise another million or two million. It depends on what we want… It depends on the goal.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief emphasized that since January, more than 150,000 contract soldiers have been recruited into the Russian army. According to him, work on the recruitment of contractors continues. Over the past week, he noted, contracts were signed by 9.5 thousand people.
Responses to the crossing of «red lines» will be selective, like a strike on the headquarters of the GUR.
Russia’s next steps will depend on the balance of power after the UAF counteroffensive. There are several scenarios for how far to go.
Russia wants to end the grain deal.
The President agreed with the military commanders that the soldiers of the NMD may not understand why it is needed.
We are not doing this for Ukraine, we are doing this for our friendly countries in Africa and Latin America. Because grain should go first of all to the poorest countries in the worldthe President explained.
He noted that Russia, in the case of the grain deal, was «once again deceived.» Putin listed that the deal included such conditions for Russia as freight, insurance, payments, connection of Rosselkhozbank to the SWIFT system. In addition, the President said that only about 3.5% of Ukrainian grain in the grain deal went to the poorest countries in the world, more than 40% goes to the EU. He drew attention to the fact that most of the Ukrainian grain goes «to quite prosperous countries of the European Union.»
They are the main recipients of Ukrainian grain. It’s cheaper. And they feel good, and Ukraine is paid money for this. Today, I may be wrong, but it seems to me that this is the main source of foreign exchange earnings for Ukraine. They’ve practically ruined everything else.Putin pointed out.
War is not only on the battlefields.
The information space is the same battlefield, and the President of Russia is counting on the help of military correspondents, bloggers and other participants in the information process.
