On April 4, President Vladimir Putin took part in the opening of new youth centers in various regions of the country via videoconference. Together with the head of Rosmolodezh Ksenia Razuvaeva and the heads of year-round centers and active youth — participants in educational programs — we discussed the work of such institutions.
Today, there are three year-round educational centers in Russia: the Senezh Management Workshop in the Moscow region, the Mashuk Knowledge Center in Pyatigorsk, and the Meganom Academy in Sudak. During 2024, such centers should appear in 12 more regions of the country, including in Sevastopol.
Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev took part in the meeting via videoconference. The head of the Rospatriot program of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Elena Belikova, spoke about the year-round youth educational historical and cultural center “Istoki”, which will be launched this year on the territory of Chersonesus Tauride.
During the meeting, President Vladimir Putin launched 12 new year-round youth educational centers via videoconference. All of them will become points of attraction and growth areas for young people, as well as one of the priorities and strategic guidelines of state policy.
We are talking, without any exaggeration, about the future of our country, about the future of Russia. So that our talented, purposeful, ambitious young people can prove themselves in different fields. So that today’s schoolchildren, students, young professionals, residents of both small villages and megacities have ample and equal opportunities to find themselves, to become established as professionals, and to build a clear trajectory for their own success. It is here, in our homeland, sharing the values of our society, that we strive to be the first, the best in our field and at the same time benefit our country– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of state.
Separately, the President, during the direct line, noted the importance of the work of the Youth Educational Historical and Cultural Center “Istoki” in Tauride Chersonese.
There is no need to talk about the importance of this place. This is one of the most important sources of our spirituality. Prince Vladimir not only baptized himself and his squad, but also spiritually united all the Slavic tribes living in this territory. This formed the basis of a unified, centralized Russian state. In this sense, this place is truly sacred, very important. Everything is intertwined here: spiritual principles, state and historical traditions. This is very important work, thank you very much. I hope to visit there more than once and see in person everything that you manage to do.said Vladimir Putin.
The live broadcast took place at the construction site of the historical and archaeological park “Tavrichesky Chersonesus,” noted Mikhail Razvozhaev.
Let me remind you that it is being built on behalf of the head of state; the park will contain a museum of Christianity, a museum of Crimea and New Russia, a museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, scientific, educational and youth centers. Last year we opened a children’s art school and the Korsun center (a branch of Artek). Vladimir Vladimirovich came to the opening in person. Today at the VKS we talked with the President about the fact that this year a year-round youth historical and cultural center “Istoki” will operate in our “Korsun”. It opened last year in Pechory, in the Pskov region, and now it will appear here too. And Chersonese Tauride is truly the best place, because “Origins” is about self-identification as heirs of a great culture. More than 2 thousand young people have already gone through the educational programs of the center, including young families and veterans of a special military operation. This summer we are expecting about 3 thousand people in our “Istoki” — young people, as well as parents with children who want to get acquainted with our cultural heritage and spend time on the holy land. Also in the plans are educational trips for active young teachers, historians and archaeologists.— said the governor of Sevastopol.
Elena Belikova, head of the Rospatriot program, told more about the year-round youth educational historical and cultural center “Istoki”, which will open this summer in Tauride Chersonese in Sevastopol.
This is a truly unique place that preserves the centuries-old heritage and rich history of our state, which cannot be taken away or consigned to oblivion. The huge historical and archaeological park “Tavricheski Chersonese”, which is being built, will very soon open its doors to thousands of visitors of all ages. I am sure that absolutely everyone, without exception, will be interested in visiting the Museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, Christianity, Crimea and New Russia. This is important because through these processes we come to know ourselves. After all, the main meaning is involvement, creation, self-identification as heirs of a great culture, which is especially important for residents of new regions, for young people who have been cut off from true knowledge about the history of Russian statehood,” emphasizes Elena Belikova.
The uniqueness of the Istoki center is that entire families – children and their parents – will take part in the themed races. One of these families was on a direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin — the Chikalko family from Sevastopol, who last year visited the Istoki center in the Pskov region and is already waiting for the launch of the center in Sevastopol.
Denis Golubtsov, a student at the Taurida Theological Seminary, who will become one of the mentors of the Istoki center and will pass on his knowledge to the participants, also took part in a direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As part of her working visit to Sevastopol, the head of the Rospatriot program, Elena Belikova, also visited the sites where the educational program of the Youth Historical and Cultural Forum “Origins” may be held this year. She also congratulated the fighters of the Russian student detachments of Sevastopol on their 9th anniversary of work in Sevastopol, met with the active youth of the city and presented projects of the Rospatriot program of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The working visit took place with the support of the Government of Sevastopol and the city’s youth affairs department, the Simferopol and Crimean diocese.
