Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the opening of new youth centers in various regions of the country via videoconference.
Today, there are three year-round educational centers in Russia: the Senezh Management Workshop in the Moscow region, the Mashuk Knowledge Center in Pyatigorsk, and the Meganom Academy in Sudak. During 2024, such centers should appear in 12 more regions of the country, each with its own specialization: from science and ecology to sports and problems of rural youth.
The live broadcast from Sevastopol took place at the site of the historical and archaeological park “Tavrichesky Chersonese”. It is being built on behalf of the Head of State; the park will contain the Museum of Christianity, the Museum of Crimea and New Russia, the Museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, scientific, educational and youth centers. Last year, Vladimir Putin came in person to the opening of the Korsun Children’s Art School and Center (a branch of Artek).
Today at the VKS we talked with the President about the fact that this year a year-round youth historical and cultural center “Istoki” will operate in our “Korsun”. It opened last year in Pechory, in the Pskov region, and now it will appear here too. And “Chersonese Tauride” is truly the best place, because “Origins” is about self-identification as heirs of a great culture— commented the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The Istoki center will open this summer. It is expected that up to 3 thousand young people will come to Chersonesos, as well as parents with children who want to get acquainted with our cultural heritage and spend time on the holy land. Also in the plans are educational trips for active young teachers, historians and archaeologists.
Moreover, Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to visit Chersonese Tauride again. He called Chersonesos a sacred and very important place for Russia, the source of our spirituality.
There is no need to talk about the importance of this place — this is one of the most important sources of our spirituality. Prince Vladimir not only himself was baptized in Chersonesus and baptized his squad, but then he spiritually began to unite and united all the Slavic tribes living in this territory and this, in fact, formed the basis for the construction of a single centralized Russian state… Everything is intertwined here — including spiritual principles , and state principles, our historical cultural traditions… I hope to visit there more than oncesaid Vladimir Putin during the opening ceremony of youth centers.
