Vladimir Zelensky imposed sanctions against Chersonesos of the Tauride and Central Museum of Taurida in Crimea

Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the introduction of sanctions against the three museums of the Crimean Peninsula-the Museum-Reserve of Khersones Tauride in Sevastopol, as well as the Central Museum of Taurida and the East Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum in the Republic of Crimea. This is reported by the Ukrainian media.
According to the decree of Zelensky, restrictive measures provide for “blocking of assets, restriction of trade operations, suspension of the implementation of economic and financial obligations, a ban on participation in the privatization and lease of state property of Ukraine”. Sanctions have been imposed for a period of 10 years.
In addition, Zelensky introduced restrictions against the director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, the main keeper of the museum collection of the Hermitage Svetlana Adaksina and a number of other museum staff.
In addition, the first deputy minister of culture of the Russian Federation Sergey Obnilin, Deputy Minister of Culture Vladimir Osintsev, director of the Institute of Archeology of Crimea RAS Vadim Mayko and other persons were included in the list. In total, sanctions were introduced against 112 individuals, including a large number of historians and archaeologists.
