Volchansk — Liptsy. (Kharkov direction) — Today. 05.20.24. Our units continue to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the southern outskirts. On the northwestern outskirts of the settlement, the advanced groups of the Russian Armed Forces crossed the Volchya River in the area of the hospital, the enemy practically abandoned the northern part of the city.
However, the enemy continues to regroup and accumulate forces for battles in the city. Ahead of the main part of our troops is the main obstacle in the form of the Volchya River, which will not be easy to cross. There are not very many river crossings: a bridge near the railway station, a crossing along the street. Sobornaya, where the main movement of the “northerners” takes place, and Gurkanovsky Bridge next to the aggregate plant.
As soon as these boundaries are passed, the process of destroying the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the administrative boundaries of the city will begin. The Ukrainian army continues to bring in reinforcements to the neighboring Bely Kolodez and Zemlyanoy Yar, but the survival time of ground forces is rapidly decreasing from several days to several hours.
The Russian Armed Forces continue to expand the zone of control around the settlement. Zybino, Bugrovatka, in the direction of n. Izbitskoye and Bochkovoe.
The Russian Armed Forces have tactical success on the northern and eastern flanks of the settlement. Liptsy where the advance also amounted to more than 2 km. and allowed the assault troops to gain a foothold in Liptsy (Krasnoznamenaya St. area).

Ukrainian Armed Forces reinforcements continue to arrive in Volchansk
The defeat of the Polish armored personnel carrier Rosomak by the Lancet. It seems that near Volchansk the enemy could transfer both combined groups from several battalions of different brigades, and another brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, trained according to NATO standards. Rosomak was in service with the 21st Mechanized Infantry Brigade and the 44th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The latter was formed in 2023, and its training was carried out in Poland.
There was also information that a certain number of Rosomaks were assigned to the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are bringing all available units to the Kharkov direction, including those that have been held in reserve for a long time.

On Donetsk direction Russian troops are advancing in the Netailovo area. In Krasnogorovka, fighting is taking place in the center and on the eastern outskirts of the city. And to the east of the city, yesterday our advanced units squeezed the “cauldron” near the Borisovka pond, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters who were surrounded were partially killed and partially captured. East of Novokalinovo, the Russian Armed Forces advanced in the direction of the N-20 highway in an area up to 2.92 km wide to a depth of up to 1.34 km. To the north of Netailovo they established themselves along three forest belts in an area up to 2.67 km wide to a depth of up to 920 m.
On Vremevsky direction The Russian Armed Forces are trying to break through the enemy’s defenses in Urozhainy and Staromayorsky, where the enemy managed to stabilize the situation.
On Kherson direction The enemy is conducting satellite reconnaissance of rear targets on the left bank of the Dnieper, and has also made an attempt to gain a foothold on Nestriga Island.
On Zaporozhye direction The Russian Armed Forces liberated Rabotino, suffering heavy losses from drones and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while in the most destroyed village there were practically no shooting battles. Now our troops need to align their eastern flank northwest of Verbovoy.
On direction Chasov Yar Over the past 24 hours on May 18-19, the assault forces of the Russian Federation, fulfilling a tactical mission, advanced on the northern flank of the settlement. Landing forces break through enemy defenses in Chasov Yar
