Volunteers from Crimea completed a two-week humanitarian mission in the DPR and Rostov region

We generated more than 4 thousand humanitarian kits and helped residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic with the restoration of housing after shelling. 11 volunteers of the Youth Wing of the Popular Front returned to Crimea from a two-week business trip.

Activists worked at the “Everything for Victory!” warehouse. in Rostov-on-Don and traveled to Mariupol to provide targeted assistance to the local population.

Appeals came from two families. After the “arrivals” their houses were thoroughly destroyed, people temporarily live with friends.

As a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Maria’s house was seriously damaged. Her mother became disabled due to being in the basement for a long time. Now she is in the hospital. Maria hired a repair team to restore the house, and the Popular Front Youth team helped remove construction waste from the local area.

Another family has a no less complicated story. Mikhail is a veteran of the Afghan war. To build his home, he saved money all his life. The Ukrainian Armed Forces shell hit the house directly. The building is almost completely destroyed. Volunteers of the Youth Wing of the Popular Front took on the hardest work — clearing the territory of rubble and fragments.

To be honest, I was in such a state that I didn’t even think about any repairs or restoration of my home. Hands dropped. I didn’t know what to do. And then volunteers came and took it all on themselves. We are very grateful! Now I know exactly what to do next. The guys and I took the most important first step. I will gradually restore the house and do repairssays a resident of Mariupol.

Work at the warehouse “Everything for Victory!” consisted of collecting humanitarian kits, forming parcels for civilians and participants of the North Military District, unloading and loading, preparing for the dispatch of trucks arriving in Rostov-on-Don and departing for new regions.

Volunteers of the Youth wing of the Popular Front formed more than 4 thousand humanitarian aid kits, loaded 8 tons of paint, unloaded 1.5 tons of humanitarian aid arriving at the warehouse, — notes the coordinator of the Youth wing of the Popular Front in the Republic of Crimea, Alexander Kardanov.

Crimea is already the 18th region that the Youth Wing of the Popular Front is sending on a humanitarian mission to new regions and the Rostov region. The team has already been replaced by a group from the Republic of Bashkortostan.
