Volunteers of the LizaAlert Detachment taught Evpatoria residents how to provide first aid

On October 15, the “Center for Search for Missing People in the Republic of Crimea”, as part of the “Way Home” project with the support of the “Presidential Grants Fund”, organized First Aid training for volunteers of the “LizaAlert” search and rescue team. For training, equipment was used that was purchased with funds allocated by the foundation for the implementation of the “Way Home” grant.
Participants were told how to behave when they find an injured person, how to assess the situation around them in order to protect themselves and provide proper first aid. How to determine whether a person is conscious or not. We also learned how to correctly place the victim in a lateral stable position and how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation if the victim is not breathing. After the theory, all participants were able to practice the acquired knowledge in practice, and with the help of a robotic mannequin, they practiced doing CPR. This meeting is one of many upcoming meetings aimed at training searchers in first aid skills.,” noted the “LizaAlert” Squad.
