#WEARETOGETHER: KFU student volunteers collected about a ton of humanitarian aid
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Student volunteers of the Crimean Federal University, as part of the work of the university headquarters #WEARETOGETHER, collected humanitarian aid. Medicines, food, clothing and bed linen will be given to fighters in the special military operation zone and to internally displaced persons living in Crimea.
Every batch of humanitarian aid collected is very important. The military personnel who are now in the Northern Military District zone must feel that they are not alone, that they are supported here, that they are believed in, that there is a reliable rear behind them. No matter how well the army is prepared, we must show them our devotion, collect humanitarian aid, and say a warm word to our defenders. And students who have not yet taken part in the work of collecting help see a personal example that it is not difficult, but very important and valuable, — the university press service quotes the curator of the Volunteer Center, chief specialist of youth projects and resource provision of the department of social and educational work of KFU. V.I. Vernadsky to Galina Markova.
According to Natalya Martynets, Deputy Director of the State Autonomous Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Resource Center», founder of the «Good of the World — Volunteers of Crimea» fund, the collected humanitarian aid is sorted according to the need for use: medicines are sent to soldiers on the front line, things are given to internally displaced persons and people in need, as well as to schools and to new regions of Russia.
Now our help is needed both by the people who are on the front line and protecting us, and by those who suffered as a result of hostilities, says the acting chairman of the Volunteer Center, a student at the Institute of Economics and Management of KFU. V. I. Vernadsky Ivetta Ivanova.
In total, about a ton of humanitarian aid was collected as part of the campaign.
