The rain with sand, which was previously recorded in Crimea, will not reach the center of European Russia. This was announced by TASS by the supervisor of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Wilfand.
The rain with sand, the so -called dust storm, rose in North Africa and moved yesterday along the southern periphery of cyclone, to the south of European Russia, to the Crimea. <...> The phenomenon will not reach Moscow, the capital may feel calm— he said.
Wilfand explained that such a phenomenon is a rarity. It occurs due to the movement of air masses from desert regions to subjects where convective processes occur. Then, with humidity, dust particles contribute to the formation of rain and rain with sand falls.
