Last week on the roads of Sevastopol there was 13 an accident in which 15 people received injuries of varying severity, including two minor passengers.

The traffic police officers revealed 380 administrative offenses, including the driver drove a vehicle while intoxicated, 3 of which were repeated, for which criminal liability is provided, 59 drivers violated the rules for driving a pedestrian crossing, 24 drove into the oncoming lane in violation of traffic rules, 25 pedestrians crossed the carriageway in the wrong place , the traffic police reported.

The Sevastopol State Traffic Inspectorate draws attention: the number of accidents involving children at night has increased by almost 30%. In most cases, minors did not use retroreflective elements when crossing the carriageway, which became a concomitant cause of traffic accidents.

The use of retroreflective elements is mandatory when driving along the edge of the carriageway outside the settlement, violation of this rule is punishable by a fine. In the city, wearing bright accessories is recommended, but due to insufficient lighting of road infrastructure, including pedestrian crossings, this measure is necessary, especially for young pedestrians , the traffic police noted.

Inspectors advise using reflective vests, as well as various accessories: bracelets, key rings, badges, and fastening them, including on the sides, so that they are visible to drivers.
