In Feodosia, a man was convicted for accepting jewelry for repair and selling it to a pawnshop.
The prosecutor’s office of the city of Feodosia supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 36-year-old native of the Moscow region. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (misappropriation and embezzlement of property).
The court found that on June 7, 2023, he accepted gold jewelry from the victim for a total amount of 150 thousand rubles for their repair, which he pawned in a pawnshop, spending the proceeds on personal needs— said the prosecutor’s office.
The court agreed with the position of the prosecutor and sentenced the convict to 1 year and 8 months of imprisonment to be served in a high-security correctional colony.
