The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, during a working trip to the urban district of Yevpatoria, inspected the functioning and under construction medical and social institutions.

The first point of inspection was the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Multidisciplinary Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children,” where repair and construction work was recently completed.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya, the total cost of all work amounted to more than 250 million rubles.

Sergei Aksyonov reported that the center with 78 beds was overhauled at the expense of the republican budget.

Children with serious illnesses can receive qualified and competent care heresaid the Head of Crimea, highly appreciating the work done.

The center is equipped with a hall for therapeutic physical training, an educational and gaming class and a dining room, offices for a pediatrician, a physiotherapist and an orthopedist, a neurologist, a psychiatrist and psychologist, a speech pathologist and speech pathologist, and others. According to the director of the institution, Svetlana Bektasheva, the premises are fully equipped according to all standards. In the future, it is planned to equip a relaxation area on the roof and install sun loungers there.

Next, the Head of the Republic got acquainted with the activities of LLC “National Center for Paralympic and Deflympic Training and Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons”, located in the village. Zaozernoe.

The center has art and occupational therapy rooms, physical therapy and social rehabilitation rooms, a rehabilitation building, and a water sports complex with a swimming pool.

Sergey Aksyonov met with guys from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions who are undergoing rehabilitation at the center. Young Russians were presented with memorable gifts.

Then the Head of Crimea assessed the progress of construction of the Federal Children’s Rehabilitation Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, which is located on the combined territory of the former Moinaki mud baths and the Rodina sanatorium.

Sergei Aksenov emphasized that the project is being successfully implemented with the support of President Vladimir Putin.

The contractor has organized systematic work and is proceeding in accordance with the established schedule. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2024. I am sure this will be one of the best children’s rehabilitation centers in Russia and, perhaps, even in the world,” noted the Head of Crimea.

Separately, during the trip, Sergei Aksyonov instructed the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Donets to organize sanitation and cleaning in Yevpatoria within a week.

It is necessary to pay special attention to the city until a new head of administration is appointed. It is necessary to assign those responsible for specific territories and systematize this work— said the Head of Crimea, adding that the same attention should be paid, including to the cities of Feodosia and Kerch.

Major renovations at the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Multidisciplinary comprehensive rehabilitation center for disabled children” were carried out from 2020 to 2023. The functioning of the center makes it possible to provide rehabilitation services annually to up to 507 children in a stationary form and up to 325 children in a semi-stationary form. The institution provides services to children with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, musculoskeletal disorders, disorders of the internal organs and the endocrine system.

LLC «National Center for Paralympic and Deflympic Training and Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons» provides comprehensive rehabilitation services for people with disabilities, including their sports training. The work involves physical and social specialists, psychologists, trainers, and others. The facility’s capacity is 1,428 beds, including 981 year-round.

The Federal Children’s Rehabilitation Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation will provide treatment and rehabilitation of children with diseases of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, sensory organs, and rheumatological disorders. Its total area is 22 hectares. According to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the center is being created as a “smart” clinic where innovative methods will be used for rehabilitation.
