Where did the additional weekend go over 23 on February 23 and March 8? And lawyers know

We are already used to the fact that in February and March there is at least one additional weekend, since February 23 and March 8 is non -working holidays. And even if these holidays fall on the weekend, as this year, then, according to Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the day off must be transferred to the nearest working day. But in 2025, there will be no additional weekend in these months. Why? This is told by Alexander Yuzhalin, the head of legal practice in Superjob.
According to the same Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation has the right to transfer weekends to other days during the year in order to rationally use weekends and non -working holidays by employees, which was produced. In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 04.10.2024 N 1335 The weekend was postponed:
- from Sunday February 23 to Thursday May 8;
- From Saturday March 8 to Friday June 13.
Thus, in February and March there will be no additional days off, but the additional weekend will be in May and June.
If for some reason you need to get additional days of rest in these months, you can consider the standard options:

And if the employer attracted you or is going to attract you to work on a day off, choose an additional day of rest instead of increased payment and use it at your discretion.
When choosing a month of use of vacation, also pay attention to the “profitability” of such a month. Remember that the less working days in a month, the more disadvantaged to take a vacation this month for workers who receive a salary. However, given that in February and in March there will be no additional weekend, both months can be potentially considered for the use of vacation without special income loss (March is still a little more profitable).
