Today we talked about places prepared for Epiphany ablutions in Crimea (read HERE). Read more about where you can plunge into the sea in Big Yalta on the feast of the Epiphany.
According to the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, in Yalta, Alupka and several villages of Greater Yalta, on the Epiphany holiday it will be possible to carry out ablutions in sea water in places specially equipped for this.
We will check the seabed, there will be rescuers in the water, and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police and emergency medical services on the shore,” noted Yanina Pavlenko.
On January 19, after the Divine Liturgy and the Great Blessing of the water, a religious procession will take place from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral to the Yalta embankment to the Chapel of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, where from 12:00, after the blessing of sea water, you can plunge into the sea. There will also be tents for changing clothes, hot tea, sweets and cookies, and everyone will be able to take part in a kettlebell lifting tournament.
Ablutions in Epiphany water will also take place on the beaches in Gurzuf, Gaspra and Alupka. In Alupka, the religious procession will take place from the Church of the Archangel Michael and the Church of Alexander Nevsky along the Palace Highway to the “children’s beach”, where at 12:00 there will be a prayer service and the blessing of sea water. Hot drinks, pea soup, and porridge will be prepared for everyone.

May the holiday bring spiritual cleansing to everyone, and peace and prosperity to all of us.,” noted the head of the city administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
