While all attention was focused on the Kursk region, the enemy tried to attack in the south

CrimeaPRESS reports:

An attempt to strike Crimea and Sevastopol, landing of Ukrainian troops in the Kherson region.

Underestimating the enemy, any relaxation, inattention, loss of vigilance can lead to tragic consequences. There will still be a «debriefing» on the Kursk region. And there will be conclusions: on reconnaissance, and on the «path» of information and reports «from the bottom up», and on the stretched defense, and on the supply of ammunition and electronic warfare equipment, and on communications, and on media «support»…

Again, who said that the «Kursk breakthrough» is just a «media» for the «picture»? The Ukrainian Armed Forces are bastards, of course, but they know how to fight. And their commanders are not all «stupid maniacs». The officer school is the same — still Soviet. So, against the backdrop of military actions in the north, the enemy attempted to carry out pinpoint strikes in the south.

«Raid» on the western coast of the Crimean peninsula.

First, an attack from the air and from the sea this night was subjected to Crimean Peninsula. The main blow fell on Sevastopol. About this – HERE.

In Sevastopol, the Black Sea Fleet, air defense forces and electronic warfare units repelled an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to preliminary information, the military destroyed 3 drones and 3 unmanned aerial vehicles over the water area. According to the Sevastopol Rescue Service, no civilian objects in the city were damaged, – told Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Judging by the places where drone debris fell (Orlovka, Kacha), the Belbek airfield still haunts the enemy.

Also, by information mayor, a Ukrainian Neptune missile was shot down while approaching Sevastopol (far from the coast).

On the western coast, near the Black Sea, a Ukrainian nuclear submarine was also destroyed in the sea.

Kherson direction: thwarted landing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kinburn Peninsula.

Also that night, the Ukrainians attempted to land troops in the west of the Kherson region (for the second time in a week).

As noted «The Fisherman»If on August 6 a similar attempt was recorded on the Tendrovskaya Spit, then early this morning the emphasis was on the Kinburn Peninsula.

At two o’clock in the morning, Ukrainian drones, under the cover of Ukrainian electronic warfare, began to operate on Russian positions in Pokrovskoe. In total, up to four boats and two Baba Yaga-type drones of the enemy took part in the raid. The goal of the operation was to seize the building of the seaport and provide a bridgehead for further landing of troops. One of the boats managed to approach the shore and carry out a landing: during the landing, several members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were blown up by mines, while the remaining ones entered into a small-arms battle with Russian servicemen— writes «Rybar».

By 7 a.m. the enemy threat had been eliminated: one of the boats with the landing force had been destroyed, and the rest had retreated. Russian troops began inspecting the seaport area.

While all attention was focused on the Kursk region, the enemy tried to attack in the south

Plans to capture the Kinburn Peninsula have not changed since 2022: it is one of the desired targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After all, if a bridgehead is captured from there, it will be possible to begin an advance by land to the central regions of the Kherson region and affect communications.

Such a landing could have been avoided in principle if there had been a sufficient number of FPV drone operators and reconnaissance assets in the area. Unfortunately, in conditions when all media attention was focused on Krynki and the island zone, a clear shortage of forces and resources began to be felt on the Kinburn Peninsula that would have allowed the landing to be disrupted as it approached the Russian coast.— emphasizes «The Fisherman» .

With the proper emphasis, the landing situation — albeit suicidal — could have been avoided in principle by destroying the landing force in the waters.

Conclusionwhich experts make (it’s hard to disagree with him): against the backdrop of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive in the Kursk direction, the enemy command will try to create stress points in several areas at once. Including in the south. In addition to the notorious «media effect», all this will also be used to demonstrate the Kyiv regime’s offensive capabilities in order to achieve increased military support from its «sponsors».
