Who will have their pensions raised on December 1?

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Some Russian pensioners will receive increased pensions from December 1. We are talking about older people who turned 80 in November of this year. Payments will also be increased for pensioners who leave work, and for disabled people of group I, writes «Parliamentary newspaper».

The fixed payment to the insurance pension will be doubled for 80-year-old pensioners — its amount will be 15 thousand 134 rubles. In Russia, since 2016, there has been a moratorium on indexation of pensions for working pensioners, but pensions for older people are increased after dismissal, taking into account all missed indexations.

People who have received group I disability will also have their payment increased. Moreover, if upon receipt of disability the fixed payment was already raised, then it will not be increased at 80 years old, it will be doubled once.

In addition, veterans awarded the medal “For the Defense of Leningrad” or the badge “Resident of Siege Leningrad” will receive one-time payments in the amount of 50 thousand rubles on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege. This decree of the Government of the Russian Federation comes into force on December 1.

What about the rest of the pensioners and elderly people?

The authorities have made a fundamental decision to increase pensions in Russia by more than 20% over three years. About it told pension expert Sergey Vlasov.

The increase in payments will affect about 3.5 million Russians, including those who receive social pensions for old age, disability or loss of a breadwinner. The new law, signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, provides for an increase in insurance pensions by 7.5% from the beginning of next year.

In April next year, social pensions will increase, which have also been decided to increase by 7.5%. Although the final percentage will be known later, since the growth of such pensions is tied to changes in the cost of living,” the expert clarified.

However, indexation will also affect other payments. According to preliminary plans, pensions will be indexed by 8% in 2025, and by 8.4% in 2026. This means that over the next three years social pensions will increase by 24% from the current level. The average size of such payments should exceed 13 thousand rubles next year and more than 15 thousand rubles by 2026, he said PRIMPRESS pension expert Sergey Vlasov.
