The Bakhchisaray district prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a previously convicted local resident. The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a person who is intoxicated and has a criminal record for a similar crime).

It was established that a resident of the area, having a criminal record for driving while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself and in July of this year, while drunk, got behind the wheel of a VAZ 21074 car. Driving through the village of Maloye Sadovoye, the attacker was stopped by officials highway patrol service,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.

The court, agreeing with the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 1 year and 3 months of imprisonment in a penal colony. He was disqualified from driving for 5 years. The VAZ 21074 car was confiscated to the state.
