On the eve of the summer stage of Primorsky Boulevard, the solemn closing of the second regional tennis tournament «Cup of the Governor of the City of Sevastopol» and the ceremony of awarding the winners took place. The competitions were held from 20 to 23 July 2023 on the tennis courts of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol.

More than 160 participants this year competed in five age categories: girls and boys under 10 years old, boys and girls under 13 years old, under 15 years old, under 17 years old and adult amateurs — men and women. The organizers of the tournament noted that this year there were twice as many participants in the Governor’s Cup as in the past.

Competition results:

• In the category of girls under 10 years old, Shabanina Polina took the first place, Chubarkina Polina took the second place, Keduk Aleksandra took the third place. In the category of boys under 10 years old, Maximilian Polyakov took the first place, Lev Grekov took the second place, and Pavel Markelov took the third place.
• In the category of girls under 13 years old, Danilova Victoria took the first place, Shabanina Polina took the second place, and Kargina Varvara took the third place. In the category of young men under 13 years old, Golovchenko Platon took the first place, Polyakov Maximilian took the second place, Starchenko Dmitry took the third place.
• In the category of girls under 15, Yaroslava Kalinovskaya took first place, Maria Trubina took second place, and Ekaterina Danilova third. In the category of young men under 15 years old, Kalinsky Lev took the first place, Maxim Dmitriev took the second place, and Aleksey Rigid third.
• In the category of girls under 17, the first place was taken by Veronika Granichka, the second place — Kargina Darina, the third — Kalinovskaya Yaroslava. In the category of young men under 17 years old, Tsarik Pavel took the first place, Kalinsky Lev took the second place, and Surenko Miroslav took the third place.
• In the category of men, women 35 years and older (mixed doubles), the places were distributed as follows: first place — Ezhov Vladimir and Rudkina Maria; second place — Igor Kolosov and Ekaterina Yakusheva; third place — Andrey Korotkov and Svetlana Yalanskaya.

Dear Sevastopol residents, coaching and teaching staff, parents, I am very glad that the second Governor’s Cup took place. I congratulate you on this. Athletes received gifts and prizes from the Tennis Federation and sponsors, and the winners received certificates for the purchase of sports equipment. At the end of the awards ceremony, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev noted that the third Cup of the Governor of the city of Sevastopol in 2024 is planned to be made open, athletes from other cities will be able to take part in the competition.

Recall that the tournament is held on the initiative of the Sevastopol Tennis Federation and the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Tatyana Lobach under the patronage of the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
