Winter-cold in Sevastopol. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate have more work
CrimeaPRESS reports:
About “snowy” and “slippery” road accidents in Sevastopol — HERE. And now about how employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol provided assistance to road users in winter cold conditions.
On Saturday late in the evening (from 23:45) there was a traffic jam in the area of the village of Povorotnoye on the descent to the ring road towards the village of Fruktovoye. Loaded trucks could not cope with the snow drifts. Heavy trucks paralyzed traffic on both sides of the road.
On the blocked section of the road, officers from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate were on duty all night, regulating the traffic flow of cars. With the help of heavy equipment that was on duty at difficult passes, we organized the lifting of trucks that could not independently overcome the difficult section of the road— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
On Sunday morning, at 9:53, on the descent from Belbek to the village of Orlovka, due to extremely unfavorable weather conditions, the Bakhchisarai-Sevastopol bus drove into a ditch and was unable to continue its movement. With the help of a tow rope and equipment from the State Budgetary Institution «Sevastopol Avtodor», traffic inspectors evacuated the passenger bus from the snow captivity.
Intensified work to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather lasted all night and continued all Sunday. Traffic police crews accompanied snow removal equipment and provided assistance to drivers on the most difficult and snowy sections of roads.
