The first snow fell in Crimea. Winter has already come into its own in the mountains. The road services of the Republic of Crimea pay special attention to the Angarsky and Grushevsky passes.
Over the past night, in places with heavy traffic, preventive treatment of the road surface was carried out to prevent the formation of ice: on the Angarsk Pass, as well as on the access roads to Simferopol. There are 14 units of special equipment on duty. We continue to monitor the situation on the roads and will promptly respond to changes to ensure safe traffic— reported the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymavtodor».
According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, branches of the Krymavtodor enterprise in Simferopol, Alushta, Bakhchisarai, Sudak and Yalta have been transferred to round-the-clock operation due to difficult weather conditions on the peninsula. According to the department, over the past 24 hours, 210 km of roads were cleared, 430 km were treated, and 67 tons of de-icing mixture were used.
