Women's business forum was held in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, the 7th women’s business forum «From competition to partnership!» was held at the SevSU site. It included several thematic sessions, a master class, a strategic session and designer shows. The organizer was the Sevastopol branch of the organization of small and medium-sized businesses «Opora Rossii». According to the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Maria Litovko, it is impossible not to notice the positive role that women play in the global socio-economic process and the development of business in Sevastopol in particular.
Every year the number of women entrepreneurs increases. In Russia, at the beginning of the year, the number of women among entrepreneurs and self-employed was 4.4 million — this is 43%. The state is interested in developing various areas of entrepreneurship, including women’s, so in Sevastopol, at the site of the My Business center, we have a women’s club where participants share their experience and help each other. Today’s event once again shows that women can successfully manage a business, raise children and be creative, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Maria Litovko.
During the thematic sessions, the participants discussed import substitution, intellectual property rights, outdoor advertising and new requirements for online advertising. Women from different fields shared their success stories: writers, heads of language schools, real estate agencies. The fair “Made by a Woman, Made in Sevastopol” and the exhibition “Mom Can Do Anything” were also presented.
Today, the development of women’s entrepreneurship is an important global trend. Our country occupies one of the leading places in terms of women leaders: about 45% of companies are run by women. I am glad that Opora Rossii is becoming a platform where there is an opportunity to unite, build a constructive dialogue with government officials and business communities— notes the chairman of the Sevastopol regional branch of the organization «Support of Russia» Alexander Romanenko.
The forum ended with a fashion show. One of the presented collections — «From a Clean Slate» — was created from recycled materials, where the main idea was eco-friendly fashion and white color.
Recall that in 2023, 8,719 women entrepreneurs were registered in Sevastopol.
