The Leninsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a 31-year-old resident of the city of Bakhchisaray, Bakhchisaray district, for intentionally causing grievous harm to the health of a person dangerous to life, using an object used as a weapon.
During the judicial investigation, it was established that on the morning of August 27 of this year, the defendant, with a hangover, decided to go visit her male friend, with whom she had had a quarrel the night before. Going to a friend’s house, she saw that there were a man and a woman previously unknown to her in the house. She did not get to know them and said that they would leave this house. The couple reacted aggressively, saying that they had come to visit an acquaintance who had invited them. A verbal conflict ensued, during which the women began to grab each other by the hair; at one point the defendant grabbed a kitchen knife, but the girl kicked it out, took it with her and went into the bedroom. A few minutes later, the defendant entered the bedroom with another knife in her hand and stabbed the woman in the kidney area, causing the victim a penetrating wound to the left lumbar region with damage to the left kidney, which is regarded as an injury that caused grievous bodily harm based on the danger to life , that is, the crime provided for in paragraph “h” of Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.,” noted the press service of the court.
At the court hearing, the defendant fully admitted her guilt and repented.
The court qualified the actions of the defendant as intentionally causing grievous harm to the health of a person dangerous to life, using an object used as a weapon (clause “h”, part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)
The court, having comprehensively studied the case materials, taking into account the circumstances of the crime, the fact that the defendant was under dynamic supervision by a narcologist with a diagnosis of mental and behavioral disorder as a result of a combination of alcohol and drug use with addiction syndrome, imposed a sentence of 3 years and 6 months in prison with serving a sentence in a general regime correctional colony. The civil claim filed within the framework of the criminal case must be partially satisfied by collecting from the defendant in favor of the victim five hundred (500) thousand rubles
