Work has started on the reconstruction of the bridge crossing on the section of the Solyanoe-Batalnoye highway

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The contracting organization YUGSTROYSERVICE LLC has started a complex of repair works for the reconstruction of the bridge crossing on the section of the highway of regional importance Salt — Batalnoye. The work is carried out within the framework of the national project «Safe Quality Roads». The total length of the facility is 11.7 running meters.

Bridge structures are an important part of not only local but also regional transport infrastructure. Any engineering structure gradually becomes obsolete. As with any building structure, including a bridge structure, in some cases reconstruction is required. The consequences of the destruction of bridges or the restriction of traffic on them entail significant losses for the economy and significant inconvenience for residents of settlements.

For the first time, the reconstruction of the bridge was included in the list of facilities planned to be brought to a standard state at the expense of the funds provided for by the national project «Safe High-Quality Roads». Reconstruction of the bridge crossing implies the complete dismantling of the old structure and the construction of a new one.

For the device of a temporary detour, the fertile layer has been removed, and it is being backfilled. Temporary road signs have been installed.

In the near future, the surface of the temporary bypass road will be jacked up, including laying and compacting layers of crushed stone of various fractions, which makes it possible to reliably compact and eliminate the formation of voids, while the bulk material does not require bonding with binders. After that, the specialists of the road team will begin to remove the asphalt pavement of the bridge with a cutter, dismantle the fences and further dismantle the bridge, including the supports and the base.

The recent increase in the intensity of vehicular traffic and the increase in the total mass of transported goods leads to accelerated wear of bridges and overpasses, to limiting the period of their being in a standard state. In order to improve road safety and reduce the number of accidents, it is necessary to bring artificial structures to a standard state in a timely manner.

In 2023, it is planned to carry out activities at 24 facilities for the repair, overhaul of artificial road structures and reconstruction on public roads of regional or intermunicipal and local significance with a total length of 867 linear meters.

More than 1 billion 500 million rubles are provided for the implementation of road works to bring artificial structures to the relevant regulatory requirements in 2023.

The national project «Safe High-Quality Roads» has a great impact on the transport infrastructure of Crimea: bridges and overpasses are being updated, new and best technologies are being applied, and the safety of routes is increasing. Thanks to the participation of the Republic of Crimea in the national project, the main task in the road sector is being solved — putting in order key areas that ensure the availability of social institutions, economic and tourism facilities.
