Work to eliminate ragweed outbreaks is being completed in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the capital of Crimea, work to combat the allergenic quarantine plant, ragwort, is being completed. This was announced by the head of the improvement department of the municipal services department of the Simferopol administration, Ivan Lisechko.
This year, public areas, the embankment of the Salgir River, the road network, as well as roadways and main streets of the city were treated from this allergen. Particular attention was paid to the Beloye-5, Kamenka, Pnevmatika, Marshal Zhukov, Upper and Lower Plateau microdistricts.
Mechanized and chemical methods were used in the processing process. This year, the area where work was carried out amounted to more than two million square meters. To prevent the flowering and growth of ragweed, preventive measures were taken, which minimizes the negative impact of this plant on the health of city residents, — notes Ivan Lisechko.
