Also today, a bilateral meeting took place between the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev. During the meeting, they discussed issues of urban infrastructure development. The Federation Council speaker noted the pace of development of Sevastopol, despite the difficult situation.

Thank you to your team for doing so much in Sevastopol, despite difficult conditions: roads are being changed, utility infrastructure is being updated. At the same time, I wanted to ask what problems there are, what help is needed from the federal center, from ministries and departments. We are in constant contact, I know that you are a very active governor, you are constantly in dialogue with the federal authorities. During the meeting, they discussed improving the quality of the heating system in Sevastopol. Let us recall that Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev previously raised the issue of building new boiler houses during the days of Sevastopol in the Federation Council. During the Days of Sevastopol in the Federation Council, we raised one of the most important issues for our city — the creation of new infrastructure, since the wear and tear of equipment at heat supply facilities in Sevastopol is about 70% — it has been operating for more than 40 years. A scheme was proposed for the decentralization of the heating system, the construction of new block-modular boiler houses to ensure high-quality heat supply to the residents of Sevastopol. The Federation Council supported us. This year the design of boiler houses will be completed, construction and installation work will begin next year, and we expect that after this the problem will be completely resolvedemphasized Mikhail Razvozhaev.

11 new boiler houses will operate in the heat supply zone of the Sevastopol Thermal Power Plant and will provide high-quality heat supply to almost 30 thousand residents of the Nakhimovsky district. Another gas modular boiler house is currently being built on Odesskaya Street in the center of Sevastopol — it will replace the old boiler house and provide heat to about 600 residents of the area and pupils of kindergarten No. 24.

The head of the city added that the issue of infrastructure development is one of the most pressing for Sevastopol.

For several decades, practically no funds were invested in this area. Today, when we are implementing such large-scale projects as “New Chersonesos”, building a cultural cluster and a yacht marina in Balaklava, of course, it is especially important for us to deal with the development of urban infrastructure“, the governor emphasized.

Let us recall that during the Days of the Federal City of Sevastopol, which were held in the Federation Council on June 7–8, 2022, the city leadership presented proposals regarding the most pressing issues of the city’s development. Later, at a plenary meeting of the Federation Council, senators unanimously adopted a resolution “On state support for the socio-economic development of Sevastopol”, supporting all proposals.

Over the past few years, block-modular gas boiler houses have already been built in Sevastopol on the Mekenzi Mountains, in Kach, Frontovoye, as well as on Young Builders Street, Terletsky Street and in the area of ​​Cape Khrustalny, on Kashtanovaya Street and in Cossack Bay.

Block-modular gas boiler houses operate automatically, without the presence of an operator. The software package automatically sets the required coolant temperature depending on the weather. A modern gas boiler house is many times more efficient than previous coal ones in terms of energy saving, ecology and economy.
