The head of the Republic of Crimea presented state awards to workers in the tourism sector of Crimea during a solemn event dedicated to the World Tourism Day. At the event, Sergey Aksyonov said that tourism is rightfully considered one of the drivers of the development of the economy of the Republic of Crimea, along with industry and agriculture.
The situation is not simple: our country is conducting a special military operation, our military is performing combat missions at the front. At the same time, the tourism industry, despite the lack of air traffic, continues to work. I would also like to express my gratitude for the decision to support the special military operation. The leaders of more than 25 facilities made a decision and placed the wounded military personnel for rehabilitation , the press service quotes the Head of Crimea.
Sergey Aksyonov also noted that there is a need to further develop the infrastructure on the peninsula, position the benefits of recreation in the Crimea, uniting the efforts of tourism workers and authorities for this. The head of the republic said that work would continue with the Government of the Russian Federation to introduce support measures.
Sergey Aksyonov presented state awards to tourism workers: Certificates of Honor of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea with a badge, Gratitude of the Head of the Republic of Crimea, a distinctive sign «Hours from the Head of the Republic of Crimea».
