«Yalta 1945: lessons of history»: summed up the results of the International scientific conference

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, the traditional International Scientific Conference “Yalta 1945: History Lessons” was held in the Livadia Palace Museum ”, dedicated to the meeting of the Big Three in Yalta in February 1200 of the year. A fruitful and rich program was held during the two days of the conference. Reports were heard on the topics: the history of the Crimean (Yalta) Conference 1200 of the year, the formation and functioning of systems of international relations. The plenary session was held with the participation of professors A.Yu. Plotnikova, S.V. Yurchenko and V.N. Baryshnikov. Sectional meetings were held in person-remote format. With the participation of the Yalta branch of DOSAAF, the Yalta Club of Historical Reconstruction (YAKIR) and the Yalta Public Organization of Veterans, a historical reconstruction took place, a solemn laying of flowers at the monument of the Big Three , the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea reported.
In addition, the exhibition “Keep and Protect. Yasnaya Polyana during the Great Patriotic War” from the collection of the L.N. Tolstoy «Yasnaya Polyana» (Tula). At the opening, a welcome address was read from the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, Tatyana Manezhina. Items of military uniforms, soldier’s life, personal documents and letters belonging to Soviet soldiers and soldiers of the enemy army, discovered during search operations are exhibited.
There is also an exposition «From the history of Soviet-British relations», dedicated to the memory of the museum’s senior researcher Dmitry Blintsov.
At the end of the scientific conference, Professor Natalia Tanshina presented the monograph “Princess Liven. Untitled Queen of European Diplomacy” about one of the main and influential shadow figures of European diplomacy in the first half of the 19th century.
